MOLLIE + AUSTIN

Mollie and Austin’s Jekyll Island engagement session gave me so much joy. These two were visiting the area from Athens - ahem, Go Dawgs - and were looking for someone to capture their engagement photos on Jekyll Island during their visit to their venue, Villa Ospo! Jekyll Island is truly one of the most magical places I’ve ever been so I was beyond excited to get back down there!

Our evening on Jekyll couldn’t have been more perfect. We started their session over at Villa Ospo which is tucked away on the backside of the Jekyll, close to the Jekyll Island Club Resort. The villa itself is beyond gorgeous - not to mention the landscape and the fact that it’s so close to the water… gosh it was dreamy. We spent some time here getting some romantic shots while jamming out to Leon Bridges and getting to know each other a little bit. Come to find out that these two angels graduated from my alma mater, UGA and their love story began just after their graduation! Fellow dawgs, Driftwood Beach, and Leon? Am I in heaven?!

We spent the latter part of the evening chasing the sun over on one of Jekyll Island’s most popular photo spots, Driftwood Beach! If you catch it at the wrong time, the beach is littered with people but we lucked out because we had some quiet moments over on the jetties. We took a more casual approach to this part of the shoot and I am obsessed with the simplicity. These just feel so… THEM. We were blessed with a long sunset which made for some killer golden hour beach photos. At the end of the shoot, we popped some bubbly and enjoyed what was left of the sun during blue hour!

Mollie and Austin are the sweetest pair and I can’t wait to work with them again this fall for their big day! With these two being fellow dawgs, I know it’s going to be a party!
