Summertime Engagement Session in Athens, Georgia
Natalia + Cole
This summertime engagement session in Athens was too sweet not to throw up on the blog. Natalia and Cole’s love story started way back on their very first day of high school when they first met. It took a couple of years for their stars to align but these two have been inseparable since their junior year. 7 years of dating and now they finally get to tie the knot this August!
For their engagement session, Natalia was really wanting something classy and classic and since Natalia went to school in Athens, Georgia at UGA, what’s more classic than the University of Georgia’s Campus? I mean I may be a little biased since it’s my alma mater but come on, it doesn’t get much better than North Campus! We started their session at one of my favorite little nooks on UGA’s campus, The Founder’s Garden. I love this spot because it’s a little more private and secluded than the main lawn - which makes it perfect for getting started.
PHOTOGRAPHERS TIP: Find a private area with lots of space to allow your clients to get used to being in front of the camera at the beginning of a shoot. This way they are focused on just being themselves and not being distracted by people or other things happening nearby.
As you can tell, it didn’t take long for them to get used to being in front of the camera because these two were NATURALS. Watching them be so in sync was honestly pulling at my heartstrings - I guess after 7 years, you really know your person. We hung around the garden and the garden house for a bit before making our way back to the main lawn and The Chapel where we finished up the rest of their session. It was so fun just chatting it up with them and learning all about their wedding in Columbus, Georgia later this summer.
I cannot wait to squeeze these two again so so soon. I already know their wedding is going to be so much fun. All the love to The (Soon to Be) Scotts!
